Join me for a relaxed plein air painting day based around Peldon Village Hall. Weather permitting, we'll work outdoors, focusing on capturing the atmosphere and character of this quiet rural setting with a series of small studies. Using small boards, the aim is to work quickly and loosely – producing several paintings throughout the day that reflect your personal response to the landscape, rather than aiming for detailed accuracy.
There’s a lovely view of the nearby church, which we’ll paint from just outside the grounds. While the views around the hall offer a great opportunity to explore composition, simplification and brushwork.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced painters. I’ll offer guidance and short demonstrations during the day, with plenty of individual support tailored to your level. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, loosen up your brushwork or simply enjoy a day immersed in painting, you’ll be very welcome.
The day is weather dependent – in the event of poor conditions, we’ll adapt where possible.
Suitable for those with some drawing and painting experience, with full guidance on oil painting techniques provided. If you would prefer to use water-mixable oils or acrylics please feel free.
I hope you can join us on this one day workshop. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the day but please bring your own packed lunch and materials with you.
Look forward to seeing you there!
When you have completed your purchase you will receive a confirmation email from 'mysite' with a link to download the details of this workshop. The Materials list along with further details can be found to the right.
