I'm Delighted to offer a selection of UK holidays in 2026. Weather permitting, these are both plein air and studio based courses and give an opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in the environment under the relaxed and friendly guidance of Graham Webber ROI.

Join Graham Webber ROI for a four-day oil painting course exploring the expansive skies and unique character of the North Norfolk landscape and coast. Working both en plein air and in the studio, this course focuses on capturing light, atmosphere and a true sense of place. We will travel out to nearby painting spots along the coast as well as working around the grounds nearby.

Light and Atmosphere in Oil: A Plein Air Painting Retreat
Immerse yourself in the art of painting outdoors with this four-day plein air retreat at Westcott Barton. Explore the estate’s gardens, trees, buildings and surrounding landscape, tackling challenges such as perspective, colour mixing, tone, and composition. Work on a variety of board sizes — from quick 30-minute studies to larger, more sustained pieces — and receive personalised guidance and advice from Graham Webber ROI.
The retreat concludes with a minibus trip to the dramatic Valley of Rocks, offering a chance to paint the cliffs and coastline (with optional shorter walking routes or the option to stay at Westcott). Whether you’re refining your technique or discovering new ways to capture atmosphere and light, this retreat is designed to inspire and develop your plein air painting skills.

On this oil painting course will be focusing on creating paintings with a sense of atmosphere using the local landscape as inspiration. Weather permitting, we will be working outside capturing the essence of the landscape and gathering information and ideas in sketchbooks and in oil. As well as being paintings in their own right, the work we have done will be used to develop into a larger final painting back at the studio. During the course we will use a variety of subjects to discover how composition, tone, colour mixing, perspective and artistic license all come together to create captivating and dynamic paintings.
