In this oil painting workshop we will focus on using perspective to produce a convincing cityscape painting.
Perspective is an essential element of painting and drawing and whilst it can be complex we will look at some of the basic elements involved and simplify the ideas to help with your paintings in the future.
A few simple guidelines can help you to apply your knowledge of perspective and assist if any challenges arise while we paint a cityscape.
The workshop is suitable for those who have some experience in painting or drawing but the approach and techniques for painting in oil will be covered, so no direct experience of oil painting is necessary. If you prefer to use water mixable oils or acrylics please feel free as most of what we will cover will be transferrable.
I hope you will be able to join me on this one day workshop. Places are limited to 10 and tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided throughout the day but please bring your own packed lunch and materials.
The workshop will mix demonstrations and explanations with practical work throughout the day.
If you have any questions please fell free to contact me.
For a list of materials to bring please see 'What to bring'.
