Learn to capture the quiet, luminous atmosphere and veiled light of a misty November landscape.
- We begin with an anchor demonstration showing how to manage soft, lost-and-found edges to achieve atmospheric depth and subtle color relationships.
- Then we will use our sketchbooks to explore value ranges and the balance of soft fog against structural shapes in deciding a final composition.
- A fast 15-minute catalyst oil sketch on a small board will then help you lock in the low-contrast values and lean into your own style.
- Finally you will move to your main board for the afternoon, where you'll develop luminous depth and personal brush work in your final painting.
Price includes primed boards but please bring your own materials (see 'What to Bring').
Suitable for those with some painting or drawing experience. Demonstrations, guidance and painting time included. Oils, water-mixable oils or acrylics may be used. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided – just bring your own lunch and materials.
