Learn to capture the crisp structure and golden warmth of an autumn landscape.
- We begin with an anchor demonstration showing how to work wet in wet to achieve clarity in the trees and connectivity in colour.
- Then we will use our sketchbooks to explore the structure and impact of the shapes of the trees in deciding a final composition.
- A fast 15-minute catalyst oil sketch on a small board will then help you lock in the dramatic contrast and lean into your own style.
- Finally you will move to your main board for the afternoon, where you'll develop structure and personal brush work in your final painting.
Price includes primed boards but please bring your own materials (see 'What to Bring').
Suitable for those with some painting or drawing experience. Demonstrations, guidance and painting time included. Oils, water-mixable oils or acrylics may be used. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided – just bring your own lunch and materials.
